WBS No. 40255.3.3 TIP No. U-4906 Reference: Section 404 Nationwide Permit 14; Issued April 29, 2019, USACE Action ID No. SAW-2014 -00572 Section 401 General Water Quality Certification 4135; issued May 23, 2019; DWR Project No. 20190370 Dear Mr. Steffens and Ms. Sprinkle: The North Carolina Department of Transportation is currently constructing improvements to SR 1308 Gum Branch Rd in Onslow County under the 404 and 401 authorizations referenced above. Since the current authorizations have expired, and construction within the permitted areas will not be completed by the end of the grace period, the Department is requesting reissuance of the authorizations under the current Regional General Permit 50 and Water Quality Certification 4135. There have been no changes to the design other than those which were shown in the plan sets which were sent to you via an electronic submittal form on October 21, 2021. The permit drawings plan set which were sent on that date had min or revisions but no changes in any impacts from the original application which was submitted March 25, 2019. As a reminder, this project is authorized by CAMA Major Permit 81 -19 which was originally issued on October 14, 2019 and was issued a Letter of Authorization on October 12, 2021.
