With each work package, we have had different NCDEQ E&SC permit applications, which each require a new eNOI.
Unfortunately, when NCDEQ input the name of our project into their system, they didn't specify which work package or
area, and each application has 3 different reference numbers, so its difficult to decipher. Hopefully the below helps:
• EWP2
o NCDEQ Project Name: Mount Holly Pumping Station & Stowe HW/IP
o NCDEQ project number: MECKL-2020-066
o Certificate of Coverage number: NCC220612
o NC Reference No.: NCG01-2022-0612
o Coverage became effective 2/3/2022.
0 24 acres (LCPS and Mount Holly sites together)
EWP 2 Stockpile Site
o NCDEQ Project Name: Mt. Holly Pumping Station & Stowe HW/IPS
o NCDEQ project number: MECKL-2022-054
o Certificate of Coverage number: NCC223631
o NC Reference No.: NCG01-2022-3631
o Payment instructions sent on 10/21/2022 (see first email attached).
o 11 acres
• EWP3
o NCDEQ Project Name: Mount Holly Pumping Station & Stowe HW/IPS
o NCDEQ project number: MECKL-2020-056
o Certificate of Coverage number: NCC223701
o NC Reference No.: NCG01-2022-3701
o Payment instructions sent on 10/28/2022 (see second email attached). Per directions from NCDEQ,
ignore the email about the NCC223700 one and ignore the payment reminder that will be sent in a
couple weeks.
o 26 acres
WP 4—this work package was a revision to the previously approved EWP 3 application.
o NCDEQ Project Name: Mount Holly Pumping Station & Stowe HW/IPS
o NCDEQ project number: MECKL-2020-056 (same as EWP 3)
o Certificate of Coverage number: NCC223701 (same as EWP 3)
o NC Reference No.: NCG01-2022-3701 (same as EWP 3)
o No additional payment required. See EWP 3 payment instructions. That COC covers both work packages
o Revised permit for 28 total acres (2 additional acres)
From NCDEQ regarding the 2 emails sent on 10/28/22: The one you'll need to pay is NCC223701. Just disregard the
other. You'll also get a payment reminder for it in a few weeks —ignore that too.
Therefore, payment is needed for the Stockpile Site and the HW&IPS site. See bolded items above.

I received two of these ... should CLTWater be paying for both? I noticed there are two different application numbers, so
maybe so. How are these two different from the one I paid in the last 10 days?
