Here is the correspondence I had with James Lastinger regarding the NW29 and the Chatham County parcel regarding
the driveway crossing. Please let me know if you have any questions.

Karen,
It does not change anything that we have previously discussed regarding the permitting process. You would still need
to apply for a Corps 404 permit, most likely a nationwide permit 29 as previously discussed.
I hope this helps.
Also, I have recently moved on to a new position within Corps Regulatory, and am no longer a PM in the Raleigh Field
office. Until a new permanent replacement is found, please email any further questions to the following email address
so that your project can be reassigned to another PM in the Raleigh Field office.

Hello James,
I hope you have been well and had a nice weekend. As we continue construction planning of a single -home residential
lot in Chatham County, I have spoken with the project engineer and there is a possibility that the driveway culvert
crossing of the intermittent stream will result in less than 1/10 of an acre impact to Waters of the US. If this does turn
out to be the case, what does that mean in terms of permitting? I want to make sure I am clear on the process. Thank
you for your time.
Best,
Karen

Hello James,
It was nice to speak with you today. Thank you for answering my questions about NW 29 vs NW18. We've decided
to just apply for the NW29. I do have another question if you don't mind.
We delineated the streams and wetlands earlier and they have been surveyed and placed on a plat map for the
entire subdivided farm (see attached). We are working with the owner of Parcel 10569 to help him locate his driveway
with the least amount of impacts to the intermittent stream. We are also working with the county on their buffer
ordinance rules and appropriate applications. My question is will the owner need to have anything else officially
surveyed for USACE permitting purposes (since wetlands and streams have already been recorded)?
Thank you so much for your time and I look forward to hearing from you.
Best,
Karen
