Removal of the existing deck (20' x 12') and construct a screen porch (18' x 14'). We
do not use any large equipment, all materials are in the driveway and hand carried to
the sight. Footers are dug by hand, no equipment is needed, therefore, keeping any
damage to none.

D. Impact Justification and Mitigation
1. Avoidance and Minimization
la. Specifically describe measures taken to avoid or minimize the proposed impacts in designing the project.
The proposed project is an 18' x 14' screened porch to replace the existing 20' x 12'
deck. The screened porch is not extending further into the backyard. It is 2' longer in
width along the house. Essentially the footprint is smaller going towards the rear of
the property.
1b. Specifically describe measures taken to avoid or minimize the proposed impacts through construction techniques.
We do not use equipment in our construction. All footers are dug by hand and
materials carried from the driveway to the site. We do not store materials in the yard -
we use the driveway for materials and a dumpster (if needed). No large equipment is
used.
