Section 1. Facility Overview:
This facility is a minor facility (flow < 1 MGD) discharging 100% domestic wastewater with a design
capacity of 0.018 MGD. This WWTP utilizes the following treatment components:
• Septic tanks
• 15,000-gallon dosing tank
• Two rotating submersible pumps
• Sand filter [60 feet x 80 feet]
• Tablet chlorination
• Chlorine contact chamber
• Tablet dechlorination chamber
After receiving an Authorization to Construct permit from the Division, expand the treatment capacity at
this WWTP to 0.05 MGD.

NPDES Permit Number NC0001643:
City of Eden (P0 Box 70, Eden, NC
27289) has requested renewal of the
NPDES permit for the New Street
WWTP in Rockingham County. This
permitted facility discharges to the
Dan River in the Roanoke River Ba-
sin. Currently total residual chlorine
is water quality limited. This dis-
charge may affect future allocations
to this portion of the receiving
stream. Mr. Lee Simaan (P0 Box
549, Summerfield NC, 27358) has ap-
plied for renewal of NPDES permit
NC0059251 for the Quail Acres Mo-
bile Home Park WWTP in Rocking-
ham County. This permitted facility
discharges treated domestic waste-
water to an unnamed tributary to
Hogans Creek in the Roanoke River
Basin. Currently, ammonia -nitrogen,
dissolved oxygen, fecal coliform, and
total residual chlorine are water
quality limited. This discharge may
affect future allocations in this por-
tion of the Roanoke River Basin.
