Inspection Summary:
On November 29, 2022, Division of Water Resources staff Caitlin Caudle conducted a site visit to review efforts to
decommission the wastewater irrigation system. Gus Zieske and Ron Alcorn were present during the entire site visit.
The inlet pipe into the septic tank has been capped preventing any accidental flow from the research buildings from entering
the system. The tanks were cleaned and emptied. The lids to the tanks were sealed. The chlorination system has been
disconnected from the storage tanks. All irrigation hydrants have been capped and the traveling gun put in dry storage. The
power will be disconnected soon.
The monitoring wells are scheduled to be abandoned on 12/5/2022, or some time that week weather dependent. Ms. Caudle
requested that well abandonment records be sent to her.
