Location/Address of Event: Intersection of Trinity Creek Dr and Chickasaw Plum Way. Line break under the
road.
Description of Events: Reclaim water line under street broke. Water then broke through the asphalt and
sheeting ran down the road surface. A town crew found the leak and shut the line down.
Duration of Release: 10/24/22 01:25 through 10/24/22 08:06
Estimated Gallons of Release: 500,000 gallons
Did Reclaimed Water Reach Surface Waters? The bulk of the release was contained in a storm water
catch basin. The remaining overflowed into a natural buffer with no water ways.
Description of Water Quality at the Time of Water Release:
Chlorine Residual- 1.35 mg/L
pH- 7.57
Temperature- 21.8 degrees Celsius
Conductivity- Effluent conductivity 837 umhos/cm
Cause of Release: Line broke under the road. Unable to determine exact cause currently. I am waiting on the
developer to remove the damaged road.
Corrective Actions Taken: Review final inspection procedures for buried lines. Determine if changes need to
be added.
