CONTROL NOTES:
I. Construction Sawenre:
a. Notify owner, Engineer and Land Quality Section prior to beginning
construction.
b. Grading shall begin at low points, points of outfoll release or at
other locations where sediment measures are shown on the plan;
and the sediment control devices (sediment traps, silt fences,
diversions stormwater• treatment areas, etc.) shall be installed
before or simultaneously with the disturbance of any area draining
to the device.
c. Limits of disturbance will be according to the plan as shown. Silt
fence shall be installed immediately after disturbance. Silt fence
shall be maintained until the disturbed area is stabilized completely.
Silt fences are shown based on topographic information in the
locations expected to be needed to trap sediment prior to entering
down slope areas. Actual locations of installation shall be adjusted
to the actual physical an site topography. That is, where silt fence
is riot shown on the pion but the actual topography reflects a
downward slope, silt fence shall be installed. Where the actual
topography reflects an upward slope silt fence is not rewired.
d. Rough grade site, install catch basins, storm drain pipes, t drainage
swales. Immediately construct rock check dams where shown. Within 15
days, temporary seed swales if not In final condition or permanent
seed and install scale liners, if in final condition.

General Notes:
I. Boundary information taken from a map entitled 'Survey
for Leonard 5afrit' dated November 25, 19% prepared
by Prestige Engineering and Land Surveyhg.
2. Topographic information by Parker and Associates, Inc.
February 1997 and November 2006.
3. There are no wetlands on site.
4. 'As of January I, 1986, anyone digging with mechanized
awilpment in highway right-of-way, private utility easements,
or public spaces will be rewired by North Carolina Law to
give notice of the proposed excavation to all the existing
area utilities at least 2 working days before starting to dig.
The utility owner is rewired to locate its facilities in the area
of the proposed excavation. Utility members of 'One Call' can
be contacted at 1-800-632-4949.
5. Contractor is responsible for contacting any local utility
companies that are riot members of 'One Call'.
6. Contractor is responsible for any damages to any existing
utilities.
7. Contractor shall remove or relocate all existing structures
and utilities rewired prior to site construction.
8. For additional information, see other plan sheets.
9. Runoff from this project drains to the Boathouse Creak which is
classified as SA:WQW
10. This project is not affected by any special flood hazard area
based upon FEMA map CPN 370466 5374 K (Town of Cedes• Point).

Construction Specifications
1. Stone size — Use MSHA size No. 2 (2-1/2" to 1") or AASHTO
designation M43, size No. 2 ( 2-1/2" to 1-1/2"). Use
crushed atone.
2. Length - As effective, but not Ie than 50 feet.
3. Thickness — Not lop than six (6) Inches.

5. Washing — When necessary. wheels shill be cleaned to
remove sediment prior to entrance onto public right—of—

1. Construction Sequence
a. Notify Owner and Engineer prior to beginning construction.
b. Install stabilized construction entrances.
C. Begin clearing and grubbing of required areas.
d. Install slit fences in locations shown.
F. Excavate stormwater infiltration basin one foot deeper than
elevations shown on plans to act as sediment trap.
g. Install storm drainage piping and construct swales.
h. Rough grade site.
i. Maintain erosion control measures after every rainfall
event to assure full functionability.
J. Fine grade site. Place CABC over compacted subgrade.
Install asphalt surface course.
k. Seed, fertilize and mulch all disturbed areas within 30
days of completing the grading work for the area
involved.
2. Seeding Specifications
Apply time and fertilizer and work into seed bed. Seed
mixture shall be distributed uniformly and covered with a
