SUBJECT: Compliance Inspection Report
East Bend Collection System
Collection System Permit No. WQCSD0254
Yadkin County
Dear Mr. Hicks:
The North Carolina Division of Water Resources conducted an inspection of the East Bend Collection
System on 10/25/2022. This inspection was conducted to verify that the facility is operating in
compliance with the conditions and limitations specified in Collection System Permit No. WQCSD0254.
The findings and comments noted during this inspection are provided in the enclosed copy of the
inspection report entitled "Compliance Inspection Report".
Please respond in writing to this office within 30 days of your receipt of this letter regarding your plans
or measures to be taken to address the following issues:
1. Inspector did not have records to review, therefore could not verify if all information is within permit
requirements. (ie: FOG education, Sewer Use Ordinance, O&M logs, etc).
2. The visual alarm on the pump station was inoperable at the time of inspection.
3. Pump Station inspections are required to be conducted weekly. Currently, they are being conducted
monthly.
4. Significant vegetative overgrowth at pump station. Vegetative growth had to be torn away to open gate
door.
