Permit Narrative
WETLAND IMPACTS
• There are Fill in Wetland impacts due to the additional fill material required by the
slightly wider roadway and shoulders. These impacts were minimized by
steepening the fill slopes to 2:1.
• There are small areas of Excavation in Wetlands required to add a bench below
the bridge to allow for future bridge maintenance as well as animal passage.
SURFACE WATER IMPACTS
• There are Temporary Surface Water Impacts due to the removal of the existing
interior bent at station 12 +43. There are also temporary stream impacts to allow
for construction access when removing the existing abutment on the south end of
the bridge.
• There are Permanent Surface Water Impacts due to the removal of the existing
south abutment.
BUFFER IMPACTS
• Impacts were extended to Right -Of -Way /Easement limits on the west side of
bridge. The utility easements on the east side of bridge are to be obtained by the
utility company, however, the permit impacts cover the impacts required for the
utility relocation.
