NPDES CoC NCG500352 is hereby rescinded, effective immediately. This message is to close the permit file for the
Division, and for your records.
If in the future you wish to discharge wastewater to the State's surface waters, you must first apply for and receive a
new NPDES permit.
If you have any questions concerning this matter, simply reply to this message.
PLEASE NOTE: as part of the Division's conversion to paperless communication, this email is the only notification you will
be sent regarding the CoC rescission. No hard copy will be mailed

Hi Ron,
Per our discussion on the phone earlier, I am writing to request recission of the Direct Discharge General Permit
NCG500000 that is currently in place at Hanes Dye and Finishing 600 W. Northwest Blvd. Winston Salem, NC. This permit
has been in place to discharge 1x per year the cooling water for the fan houses. The facility has been granted permission
by Joel Freeman, Industrial Waste Control Supervisor, to discharge the water to the onsite wastewater system. Please
find the attached permission letter from Joel dated 11.17.2022. Please let us know if you need any additional
information. We do request written response (email is fine) to confirm recission of the permit.

Dear Mr. Jeacock,
Industrial Waste Control visited Hanes Dye & Finishing on November 8, 2022, for an annual inspection.
Included in the inspection was the review of fan house cooling water. There are several units that
makeup water as a byproduct and must be drained.
The cooling water is collected in trays and is hereby authorized to discharge into the wastewater
sanitary sewer system along with other process and domestic waste produced by Hanes Dye & Finishing.
Hanes Dye & Finishing will notify Industrial Waste Control when this seldom discharge will occur.
