Upon completion of a recent VFD Replacement Study of the LS, the City realized the current permit (Permit No. WQ0015751) did not accurately describe the existing system. The station is a wet pit/dry pit configuration with slots for four pumps; however, only two pumps are currently connected and in service. The current permit (WQ0015751), submitted in 2004, lists multiple pumps which were removed from service during or prior to that permitted project. The 350 GPM horizontal pumping unit and dual 750 GPM screw type centrifugal immersible vertical pumps have been removed from the station. The 6-inch force main described in the previous permit was also abandoned prior to finalization of the 2004 project. The station currently operates using two 3,000 GPM dry pit submersible pumps pumping through a 12- and 16-inch parallel force main system of approximately 5,252 linear feet. Please note that we are not modifying the tributary gravity sewer that was permitted under the previous application. We are requesting the station be re -permitted as described above. Along with an application fee check in the amount of $480.00, please find enclosed two copies of each of the following documents for review and approval: • Cover Letter • Fast Track Application Form • USGSTopoMap • Aerial Street View Map • Existing Permit Engineering is our profession.
