Will this be a private road or will the road be turned over to the NCDOT/Wake County/Wake Forest? If it will be turned over, have they approved the arch culvert? This will be a Town of Wake Forest maintained road. McAdams have been through three rounds of construction drawing review by the Town and are nearing full construction drawing approval. Other than provide the required buffer authorization from NCDWR, the Town has not indicated they have any issues with the proposed arch culvert. 2. The Geotechnical report says "At the time of this report, project plans and details were not provided by the client. Should any new information regarding the culver project become available, SUMMIT requests the opportunity to review the new information and modify our recommendations as necessary." Were plans provided to SUMMIT? Was the Geotechnical report modified? The Geotech did the borings in the vicinity of the proposed arch culvert based on direction from the Owner from their knowledge of where the arch culvert was being proposed while the plans were being developed. According to the McAdams project engineer, Jeremy Finch, the Geotech report has not been modified. With 1 full construction drawing approval nearing the Owner will be engaging the Geotech to assist during arch culvert construction. 3. Is the inside of the arch culvert greater to or equal than 1.2 times the bankfull width of the stream? See red line in snippet below — McAdams measured a representative width of the channel from top of bank to top of bank and got 3.42' wide. The culvert width is 10'. That is 2.92 times the top of bank width of the stream so the arch culvert, which is greater than 1.2 times the bankfull width of the stream. 4. Please provide additional information on why the road crossing is allowable with mitigation. The road crossing is allowable with mitigation because it is the second road crossing of the tributary for this project. The two crossings exceed the 150 If and third of an acre threshold for the allowable activity. The first crossing was permitted as version 6.
