This letter is in regards to the Notice of Violation for the Cape Hatteras Reverse Osmosis Water
Treatment Plant. The frequency violation in August 2022 was caused by a TSS sample being lost
during shipment. In order to avoid any more frequency violations the NPDES samples will no longer
be shipped to a laboratory. The samples will be delivered by a Cape Hatteras Water Treatment Plant
staff member to a local laboratory in Manteo, NC.
