Dear Mr. Reed,
On October 3, 2022, 1 received Notice of Deficiency for the Town of Zebulon, dated
September 30, 2022. We have reviewed the audit findings and instructions, and we
intend to comply with the steps put forth in the letter. We are in the process of hiring a
consultant to assist with the self -evaluation. The consultant will also assist us in
updating the Stormwater Management Plan (SWMP) to address the audit findings and
incorporate the actions the Town will take to correct the deficiencies over the next five
years. Per your instructions, the NPDES MS4 permit renewal application has already
been submitted for review. We will submit an updated permit renewal application once
the new SWMP is approved by NCDEQ.
