Mr. Smith:
On December 4, 2014 Sara Knies from the Raleigh Regional Office of the Division of Water Resources (DWR) conducted a
final site inspection of Cedar Lakes Phase 2 in Wake County, North Carolina. This inspection was for purposes of confirming
that restoration of the riparian buffer as required in the August 13, 2014 Notice of Violation (NOV- 2014 -PC -0183) had been
adequately addressed.
Accordingly, the following observations were noted during the site inspection and file review:
• Rock and debris from blasted rock has been removed from the entirety of the impacted riparian buffer /sanitary sewer
easement.
• Coir matt has been installed on stream banks for purposes of stabilization.
• Leaf litter has been applied to greater riparian buffer /sanitary sewer easement area.
• Saplings have been planted as required; these saplings include Willow Oak, Tulip Poplar, & Nutell Oak.
NOV Resolution Confirmation
This office considers all requirements of NOV- 2014 -PC -0183 to have been met, and hereby considered resolved.
