Dear Mr. Bloom:
The final plans and specifications for the subject project have been reviewed
and found to be satisfactory. Authorization is hereby granted for the construction
of a 21,000 GPD domestic wastewater treatment system consisting of approximately
145 lineal feet of 8-inch diameter collection sewer line, three manholes, a 21,000
GPD package extended aeration plant with a comminutor/bar screen, an aeration cham-
ber, a clarifier, diffusers, air lifts, sludge storage, flow measurement, solid tab-
let chlorinator, post aeration and dechlorination cascade steps and all piping,
valves, and appurtenances to serve Smoketree Lodge.
This is a Class II Wastewater Treatment Facility and the person in responsible
charge must hold a valid Grade II Certificate.
This Authorization to Construct is issued in accordance with Part III paragraph
C of NPDES Permit No. NC0049174 issued November 20, 1981, and shall be subject to re-
vocation unless the wastewater treatment facilities are constructed in accordance
With the conditions and limitations specified in Permit No. NC0049174.
