Quail Run MHP Collection System, WQCSD0196

Dear Mr. Murray:
Tricia Lowery, of the NC Division of Water Resources (DWR), Winston-Salem Regional Office (WSRO), visited
the Quail Run MHP Collection System on 10/6/2022, to perform a Compliance Evaluation Inspection (CEI). The
assistance and cooperation of Jon Southern was greatly appreciated. Details of the inspection are recorded on
the attached Compliance Inspection Report.
Overall, Mr. Southern operates and maintains the collection system well. The only areas of concern are:
1) Frequency of Fats, Oils and Grease (FOG) education distribution to residents. The requirement is bi-
annually (2x year). Please set a schedule to distribute FOG education bi-annually.
2) The Spill Response Plan is minimal and needs more detail to be comprehensive and thorough (see
comment on inspection report under 'Spills and Response Action Plan').
You are reminded that, in accordance with NC General Statute 143-215.6A, failure to comply with all conditions
of the permit subjects the City/Town to civil penalties not to exceed $25,000.00 per violation, per day.
