Goals
Stream walks are conducted with the City of
Charlotte and Mecklenburg County Storm Water
Services to perform inspections of outfalls that
exist in the City Storm Water G IS Inventory and to
collect new features such as:
• New storm water outfalls that are not currently
in the inventory
• Dry weather flows
• Areas of severe stream bank erosion
• Blockages that may contribute to flooding
along FEMA streams (drain >_640 acres)
• Pollution sources
• Wetlands
• Reference reaches
• Private Sanitary Sewer Aerials
