Good afternoon,

On behalf of the NCDOT Division 9 Bridge Program Manager, Daniel Dagenhart, I am sending you the Start of Study
notification letter for project BR-0102. This project proposes to replace Bridge No. 37 on NC 268 (Lynchburg Road) over
Big Creek in Stokes County on new alignment, west of the existing bridge. ROW acquisition and construction are
scheduled for 2023 and 2024, respectively.

Please refer to the attachment for the Start of Study letter, project maps, and project data sheet. We welcome your
input. If you have any specific or time-critical concerns that the Department should be aware of, please respond by
October 1, 2022. If you have any issues opening the attachments, please let me know.
