(ATC), submits the attached documentation to the North Carolina Department of Environmental Quality, Division of Water Resources (DWR) for the renewal of referenced NPDES Permit. Note that, there has been no discharge to surface water associated with this permit, and that the requirement for monthly reporting has been suspended. If and when discharges from dewatering may be necessary, GSLH will provide details of water quality, water treatment and anticipated discharge to the DWR for DWR's approval prior to discharge to surface water. Monthly reporting would be initiated following such discharge. Please note that, in light of the expired permit, GSLH does not intend to undertake discharges from dewatering to surface waters until the referenced NPDES permit is renewed. Development of property owned or controlled by GSLH will continue for the foreseeable future. GSLH may learn that there is little need for the permit to remain in place at portions of the property owned or controlled by GSLH once development is complete on such property. For this reason, GSLH respectfully requests that DWR include a condition in the permit that allows GSLH to remove properties from coverage under the permit upon written notice from GSLH to DWR.
