Access from far bank is through inner stream bank with vegetation removal. Riparian buffers in this area are parking lots and
buildings on one side of the stream and roadway on the other side of the stream.
D. Impact Justification and Mitigation
1.Avoidance and Minimization
1a. Specifically describe measures taken to avoid or minimize the proposed impacts in designing project.
The impacts to the stream are necessary to repair fill slope and shoulder. BMPs will be followed to maintain a dry work area.
This slope failure repair cannot be performed without stream impacts.
1b. Specifically describe measures taken to avoid or minimize the proposed impacts through construction techniques.
Sediment and erosion control Best Management Practices for protection of surface waters, riparian buffers, and wetlands will
be enforced during project construction.
