Mason, The Corps agrees with your assessment that the project can utilize NW 13 for the bank stabilization. As you already stated, it is below the normal erosive velocity for bank stabilization, but your previous information provided the necessary justification. Please make sure to include a full copy of NW 13 to any executed contracts as you must adhere to the general and regional conditions. Attached is a copy of the electronic courtesy notification that was submitted this morning for the replacement of Bridge 194 over the Great Coharie Creek on SR 1746 (Keener Rd) in Sampson County. There are no wetland impacts or utility relocations on this project; just minor additional bank stabilization outside of the footprint of the existing abutments, so I was proposing to complete this project under NW 13/ GC 4245. We discussed the bank stabilization in an email correspondence back on May 24. Have a great day and let me know if you need any additional information to process this submittal. Thanks!
