4. GROUND STABILIZATION WILL BE APPLIED WITHIN 14 CALENDAR DAYS FROM LAST LAND DISTURBING ACTIVITY. FOR STEEP SLOPES, THAT AREA MUST
BE STABILIZED WITHIN 7 CALENDAR DAYS" TO THE CONSTRUCTION SEQUENCE.
5. CONTRACTOR SHALL TAKE ALL REASONABLE PRECAUTIONS TO AVOID THE SILTING OF STREAMS, LAKES OR OTHER WATER COURSES DUE TO THE
CONSTRUCTION OF THIS PROJECT.
6. EFFECTIVE EROSION CONTROL MEASURES SHALL BE INITIATED PRIOR TO THE COMMENCEMENT OF CLEARING, GRADING, EXCAVATION, OR OTHER
OPERATIONS THAT WILL DISTURB THE NATURAL PROTECTION. THE EROSION CONTROL DETAILS SHOWN HEREIN ARE FOR THE CONTRACTOR'S REFERENCE.
THE DETERMINATION OF WHICH DETAIL IS APPLICABLE AS THE WORK PROGRESSES SHALL BE AS SHOWN ON THE PLANS OR MADE BY THE ENGINEER.
7. ALL DITCHES SHALL BE STABILIZED AS SOON AS PRACTICAL TO MINIMIZE EROSION.
8. THE CONTRACTOR SHALL REFER TO THE DETAILED SPECIFICATIONS FOR A DESCRIPTION OF ADDITIONAL EROSION CONTROL REQUIREMENTS.
9. THE CONTRACTOR SHALL MAINTAIN ALL EROSION CONTROL DEVICES IN A GOOD, WORKING STATE OF REPAIR UNTIL THEIR USE IS NO LONGER
WARRANTED. AT THAT TIME, THE EROSION CONTROL DEVICES SHALL BE REMOVED AND DISPOSED OF SO AS TO CAUSE NO STREAM SILTATION.
10. LOCATION OF SILT FENCE OUTLETS MAY BE ADJUSTED PER FIELD CONDITIONS AS NEEDED. ADDITIONAL SILT FENCE STONE OUTLETS MAY BE ADDED IF

2. EROSION AND SEDIMENT CONTROL (E&SC) PERMIT AND A CERTIFICATE OF COVERAGE (COC) MUST BE OBTAINED BEFORE ANY LAND DISTURBING
ACTIVITIES OCCUR. A COPY OF THE E&SC PERMIT, THE COC, AND A HARD COPY OF THE PLAN MUST BE KEPT ON SITE, PREFERABLY IN A
PERMITS BOX, AND ACCESSIBLE DURING INSPECTION.
3. SELF —INSPECTIONS FOR EROSION AND SEDIMENTATION CONTROL MEASURES ARE TO BE PERFORMED AT LEAST ONCE EVERY SEVEN CALENDAR
DAYS AND WITHIN 24 HOURS OF EVERY RAIN EVENT OF GREATER THAN 1 INCH. ANY NEEDED REPAIRS SHALL BE MADE IMMEDIATELY TO
MAINTAIN MEASURES AS DESIGNED. ALL ESC MEASURES SHALL BE MAINTAINED AS SPECIFIED IN THE CONSTRUCTION DETAILS ON THIS PLAN. A
RAIN GAUGE SHALL BE INSTALLED AT THE PROJECT SITE FOR MONITORING
4. WHEN THE PROJECT IS COMPLETE, THE PERMITTEES SHALL CONTACT DEMLR TO CLOSE OUT THE E&SC PLAN." AFTER DEMLR INFORMS THE

6. NOTIFY NCDEQ LAND QUALITY SECTION 919-971-4200 AND THE TOWN OF SILER CITY 919-742-4731 AT LEAST 5 BUSINESS DAYS PRIOR TO
COMMENCING LAND DISTURBING ACTIVITIES TO SCHEDULE A PRE —CONSTRUCTION MEETING.
7. CALL NC ONE CALL TO LOCATE ALL EXISTING UTILITIES PRIOR TO ANY LAND DISTURBING ACTIVITIES. IF ANY UTILITIES ARE IN CONFLICT WITH
PLANS CONTACT THE ENGINEER.
8. INSTALL TEMPORARY CONSTRUCTION ENTRANCE AND EXTEND EXISTING 15" RCP PIPE PER GRADING PLAN. STABILIZE RESULTING DISTURBED
AREAS.
9. CLEAR AND GRUB NECESSARY AREAS AND INSTALL SILT FENCE AND SILT FENCE STONE OUTLETS.
10. INSTALL PROPOSED TEMPORARY SEDIMENT BASIN PER PLANS. STABILIZE SIDESLOPES IMMEDIATELY.
11. INSTALL TEMPORARY DIVERSION DITCHES A & B AND STABILIZE IMMEDIATELY.
12. CLEAR AND GRUB REMAINDER OF THE SITE TO BE CLEARED.
13. ABANDON EXISTING SEPTIC SYSTEM TO BE REMOVED PER CHATHAM COUNTY ENVIRONMENTAL HEALTH REQUIREMENTS AND PERMIT. COORDINATE
THE ABANDONMENT OF THE EXISTING SEPTIC SYSTEM AND CONNECTION TO TOWN OF SILER CITY MUNICIPAL SEWER SERVICE WITH THE TOWN OF
SILER CITY PUBLIC WORKS AND CHATHAM COUNTY ENVIRONMENTAL HEALTH.
14. CONTINUE TO PHASE 2 CONSTRUCTION SEQUENCE.
