NCDOT is not requesting verification of the use of a Nationwide Permit from USACE. The electronic PCN would not allow
submittal unless the question about Nationwide permits was answered with a type of USACE permit.

Hi Nancy. We received the PCN for the Boom site at PTI. As you know we just issued a No Permit Required letter for this
project based on Div. 7's request earlier this month. The PCN does not appear to propose any 404 impacts, but does
request Section 404 authorization from the Corps via Nationwide Permit 14 in Section A.
Please confirm that you are not requesting verification of the use of a Nationwide Permit from the Corps, and that
instead this PCN is only to request authorization of buffer impacts from NCDWR.
