Yes the culvert placement will be constructed in the dry. Edwin will work with Adam to guarantee this form of
construction. Yes we will use coir matting and native seeding and will conform to the attached. The dimensions will
mimic the up and down stream profile as close as possible. I am scheduled to talk to Boyd in the morning. Let me know if
you need anything else.

Hi Wanda —
I am reviewing the Beaverdam Road project and have a few questions:
• Confirm culvert removal activities will be conducted "in the dry," as the culvert placement has
been described in the application
• After removal of the culverts, what steps will be taken to recreate the stream channels (i.e.,
describe how the channel will be reconstructed and to what dimensions)? Will channel width
and slope mimic the up- and downstream segments?
• Confirm a coir -based matting will be used for all streambanks within stream channel
reconstruction areas
• Confirm the seeding and woody vegetation used will conform to the species in the attached
tables
• Confirm woody vegetation planting will comply with standard practices, such as live stakes per
the attached guide or trees or shrubs at 300 — 450 stems per acre.
I look forward to your responses and let me know if I can be of any assistance.
Boyd Devane is reviewing the stormwater management components and will let me know if he needs
anything.
Best,
Chuck
