For all sheets, ROW markers should be placed by the contractor. All ROW marker symbology will need to be adjusted. ii. Add detail sheet to 2- series illustrating the contaminated soils on the project. iii. A PUE will be added to parcels 10, 11, 15 and submitted as ROW Revision. iv. R. Worthington will work with S. Stepney and P. Eason on proper way to add the Greensboro waterline to the contract. V. The Division Let widening at the Frieden Church Road railroad crossing has been let to contract. vi. J. Pullen to follow up with Kirby Warrick to verify no additional crossing improvements will be required for the existing Frieden Church Road crossing. Sheet 1 i. Vicinity map — label Carmon Road. ii. Project Layout — show private crossings to be removed. Provide a note referencing the sheets for the crossing removals. iii. Keep Sheet 8A in the plan sheets. iv. It was noted that this project will utilize both clearing methods II and I II as directed by the Resident Engineer. Sheet 1A i. Delete information shown on sheet and leave as blank per standard process. Each section should be provided in DOC format separately. Sheet 1 B thru 1 G i. No comment. Page 12 P -5204 PLFI April 15, 2014 Sheet 2 i. Detail showing method of wedging — verify pavement layer designations. ii. P. Eason was concerned with the usage of B mix on this project. P. Eason will contact Clark Morrison with Pavement Management to discuss further. If changes are required, she will provide further direction. iii. Review typical sections for -L- and provide for super elevation as necessary. iv. Remove typical section 2A. Sheet 2A i. Typical section 1 B — Review paved shoulders provided. Left paved shoulder may need to be 4' due to need for temporary traffic control barrier. Right paved shoulder may not be necessary. D. Bass to verify and discuss with S. Stepney. ii. May utilize trench section for typical section 1 B. Sheets 2B i. No comment. ShPP+C %r Typical section 7 — remove "OLD" from road name. Sheets 2D Typical section 7A — remove "OLD" from road name. Sheets 2E i. Add title to this Detail Sheet. ii. Remove note "ADDRESS MARKER TO BE REMOVED" for parcel 11. iii. For note "EX. SIGNS TO BE REMOVED" add "BY RAILROAD CONTRACTOR ". iv. Review `Notes' and revise /delete as needed Sheets 2F i. Add title to this Detail Sheet. ii. J. Pullen to ask NCRR if nothing, earthen berms or other may be utilized in place of the guardrail sections for the private road closures. iii. Remove 2 notes for "NEATLY SAWCUT EXISTING PAVEMENT" and adjust symbology. iv. Revise note "EX. RAILROAD SIGNAL TO BE REMOVED BY RAILROAD CONTRACTOR ". Replace "SIGNAL" with "CROSSBUCKS ". V. Adjust legend bottom right of page to show only obliterate. vi. Notes — Remove note #1. vii. Notes — Adjust note #5 to read "CONTRACTOR SHALL OBLITERATE DESIGNATED AREAS SHOWN WITHIN EXISTING RAILROAD RIGHT OF WAY UNLESS OTHERWISE DIRECTED BY ENGINEER." viii. Adjust legend bottom right of page to show only obliterate vs. gravel removal. Adjust note pointer on plan to point to the obliteration of the gravel driveway. iv. NCDOT requested the new 2' cover standard be investigated for this project. ii. Additional comments to be provided on standard comment form. Sheet 313 i. Summary of Earthwork — Add column for "UNDERCUT" Sheet 4 i. Add "DO NOT DISTURB" note to well pump house approx. -L- Sta. 12 +70 LT. under the 'TDE' line. ii. For the pond to be drained on parcel 2, ROW will verify if the pond still requires seeding. iii. Parcel 4 approx. -L- Sta. 15 +00 to 16 +00 RT. designated TIDE in conflict with the septic drain lines. TIDE is for erosion control measures. Atkins and REU to investigate a different methodology to treat water without disturbing septic. Sheet 5 i. Frieden Church Road name misspelled at approx. -Y2- Sta. 14 +00 RT. ii. Remove "OBLITERATE" notes before /after the existing crossing iii. Parcel 11 — remove note "SEAL EXISTING WELL ". Sheet 6 i. Frieden Church Road name misspelled at approx. -Y2- Sta. 22 +00 RT.
