Effluent samples were collected for use in a chronic Ceriodaphnia dubia pass -fail toxicity test. The test Passed utilizing these samples. Please inform the facility's Operator -in -Responsible Charge (ORC) of our findings by forwarding the enclosed report. Henning Environmental Specialist II, Aquatic Toxicology Branch (ATB) Subject: Whole effluent toxicity test results Conover NE WWTP NPDES Permit # NC0024252/001 Catawba County The aquatic toxicity test using constant time/constant volume samples of effluent discharged from the Conover NE WWTP has been completed. Conover NE WWTP has a permitted effluent discharge of 1.5 million gallons per day (MGD) entering Lyle Creek (7Q10 of 5.0 CFS). Whole effluent samples were collected on June 7 and June 9 by Wes Bell and facility representative William Huffman for use in a chronic Ceriodaphnia dubia pass -fail toxicity test. The test passed. Toxicity test information follows. These samples were split and tested by Meritech, Inc. The chronic Ceriodaphnia dubia pass/fail test run by Meritech, Inc. resulted in a pass.
