Mr. Boss,

This letter is in response to your 7-25-22 letter to Cervini Farms North Carolina, Inc.
attached.

The system has had a hard time meeting the low ammonia limits and BOD limits since
installation.

With the fixed media system, we are limited to the adjustments we can make to enhance
the performance to the effluent. We have reviewed the system with the equipment
supplier and design engineer and made adjustments to pod run times. We also tried to
introduce nitrifier bacteria which only seemed to raise the BOD limits.

The owner has pumped the septic tanks as suggested and making sure grease is removed
from influent and greenhouse waste is not entering the system.
