Per our phone conversation, we would like to rescind the Animal/Discharge/Non-discharge permit
for the Rod McLellan Co. (WQ0024059) as we no longer produce the products for which it was first
obtained.

I am following up on a Animal/Discharge/Non-discharge permit for the Rod McLellan Co. (a brand
under The Scotts Miracle-Gro Company). We have had some recent retirements in our regulatory

team and reshuffling of responsibilities, so I just wanted to follow up on this permit and
understand a little bit of it's history. We have also phased out many of the products typically sold
under this brand, so I also just want to make sure this permit is still necessary for the remaining
products. Would you be able to help us understand the purpose of this permit as it pertains to
our products? The remaining products sold under this brand are:
• Supersoil Enriched Planting Compost (Grade: 0.09-0.03-0.04)
• Supersoil Potting Soil (Grade: 0.18-0.03-0.03)
Neither of these products are manufactured in North Carolina. The permit number is
WQ0024059 and I've attached a copy of our most recent invoice. Please let me know if you have
any questions or if we can provide any additional information.
