Dear Mr. Reed,
The Town of Montreat acknowledges that there are deficiencies with our MS4 Permit
compliance as identified in the audit on 6/23/2022. Town Council and staff are committed to
addressing these issues and intend to develop and maintain a fully compliant MS4 program in
the next permit cycle. The new Stormwater Management Plan (SWMP) will outline the best
management practices, measurable goals and timelines to achieve this compliance. The draft
SWMP will be submitted within 120 days of the receipt of the enforcement letter, along with the
other requested plans and documentation.
