Hi Hannah and Brad,
Please see attached my photos and notes from a 7/28/2022 review of the subject bridge. I visited
the places originally detailed and labelled as “Areas” in Sean’s 7/11/2022 email. I also reviewed the
area near the NJ ditch and pond and LDet-Sta. 21+00 which needed a small amount of sediment
removed and a new wattle installed.
Area 1: L_DET Sta. 14+00 Rt. The removed additional sediment from the low side of this area. Most
of this area was not wetland. Removal is sufficient.
Area 2: L_DET Sta. 14+75 Rt. Since my last visit they removed additional sediment, especially a thin
linear plume within the lizard’s tail. Other higher areas were removed. Removal is sufficient.
Area 3: L_DET Sta. 15+25 Rt. Extra sediment has been removed. Removal is sufficient.
Area 4: Under the temporary bridge at about L_DET Sta. 18+00. They had removed sediment at the
stream bank since my last visit, however, there is still additional sediment past the stream bank (less
than a 5-gallon bucket) that was deposited since my last visit (7/21/2022). It is still unclear where
this is coming from; likely from the area between the temporary bridge and the new bridge. They
will remove it.
Area 5: L_DET Sta. 23+25 Rt. Most of this area has had the sediment removed, but there was still a
small pile of sediment past the silt fence. This was somehow overlooked. They will remove it.
Area 6: -L- Sta. 25+50 Lt. They have done a lot of work here, but there is still some sediment in the
water (within a natural low area), which they could not remove because of the standing water. This
remaining sediment is isolated due to the low area, and they will remove it when they water
recedes. They are aware that more work needs to be done here.
Area 7: -L- Sta. 25+25 Lt. Removal was sufficient during last site visit (7/21/2022).
Sta. -L- +/- 13+20 Rt (NJ ditch and pond area): They installed wattles in the ditch line. Removal is
sufficient.
L_DET- Sta. 21+00 Rt: A new wattle was installed here. They also removed a small amount of
sediment. Removal is sufficient.
Please let me know if there are any questions or concerns. They are getting close to finishing the
new bridge. There are plans to switch traffic to the new bridge in about a week. They will then
begin the process of removing the temporary bridge and fills.
Thanks,
Anneliese
