Dear Mr. Montebello:
Per our Teams meeting on July 25, 2020, Stanly County Utilities is hereby requesting a 30 day extension
to September 1 for submission of the NPDES permit renewal application. Per our discussion, this
renewal would be for a flow of 1.2 MGD, but we would also be looking for any guidance on requirements
for the future permit modification to a permit flow of 2.5 MGD. The application extension will allow for
receiving our results on our 3ro effluent pollution scan and 2od Species Toxicity test and to fill out Section 4
of the permit renewal regarding industrial dischargers as a new discharger (Charlotte Pipe and Foundry)
is constructing a new pipe production facility in Oakboro.
