A permit renewal application was received by the Division on May 31, 2018 and is currently under review. The facility is classified as (Physical Chemical) PC-2 and consists of alkali feed system, solids mixing tank, three reaction tanks for pH adjustment, two acre unlined storage lagoon, instrumented flow measurement, and 1/2 acre lined storage lagoon. The treatment works discharge into Rocky River (Sub basin 03-07-11) which is classified as Class C waters in the Yadkin Pee -Dee River Basin. Solids are planned to be removed from lagoon #5, dewatered and disposed of in an on -site landfill. A liner is proposed to be installed in lagoon #5. A 12-month reivew of discharge reports from June 2021 through May 2022 facility reported no discharge. Records reviewed were complete, current, and readily available for review.
