The hand clearing is to cut back the vegetation to allow room to install the dewatering devices if needed or, the erosion controls. The water level may be below the level indicated if the work is done during a dry period. If it is, dewatering would not be necessary but, the space would be used to install silt fencing or waddles instead. I didn’t think that the 0.02 ac of temporary impacts should have been listed twice if it’s in the same spot. I chose to list dewatering as the temporary impact instead of the hand clearing because dewatering is typically more disruptive than cutting vegetation. I can change that to show both or, whichever way you wanted it listed. Thanks, Art C. Attached on the W-5708G Drawing, hand clearing is depicted in the project area but is not listed in the Wetland impact table. If this is correct, please include the approx. area of temporary impact. If you can forward a copy of the NWP 14 issued for this proejct, I’d appreciate it. Let me know what questions you have.
