Date of field visit: Oct. 16, 2013
Description of review activities, results, and conclusions:
On August 13, 2013 a review HPOGIS website reveled one identified historic site: Troxler Mill
(GF 2087) in the project area with a notation that the structure was possibly demolished. On
October 16, 2013 an NCDOT Architectural Historian conducted a site visit. The location of
Troxler Mill was thoroughly explored to the extent that vegetation and topography allowed and
not sign of the historic structure was discovered. No other historic properties are present in APE
of this bridge replacement project.
