The Water Pollution Control System Operators Certification Commission adopted Rule 15A NCAC 8G
.0305, Classification of Land Application/Residuals Systems, effective April,l, 1999. In order to insure
the proper operation and maintenance of these systems, this Rule requires that all facilities permitted for
the land application of sludge, residuals, biosolids, or contaminated soil! on a dedicated site to be
classified as land application/residuals systems.
The Water 'Pollution Control System Operators Certification Commission hereby classifies the subject
facility" as a Land Application/Residuals System.
As required by Rule 15A NCAC 8G .0202 (2) and the subject permit, a certified operator and back-up
operator of the appropriate type must be designated for each classified system. Your system requires an
Operator in ' Responsible Charge (ORC) and a back-up operator who hold valid land
application/residuals certificates. If you have notalready done so, please complete and return the
enclosed designation form to this office by November 30, 2000. Failure to designate a properly
certified Operator in Responsible Charge and back-up operator is a violation of the permit issued for
this system:
