Thomas, PE bthomas@west-consultants.com PROJECT DESCRIPTION: Yadkin Valley Sewer Authority (YVSA) High Priority Collection System Rehabilitation Project Elkin, North Carolina SRP-W-0202 The project is located in the Towns of Elkin (Surry County). The YVSA maintains the sewer collection system in the towns of Elkin, Jonesville, and Ronda (Wilkes County). The primary purpose of the project is to address inadequate sewer piping and to address inflow and infiltration from aging sewer infrastructure that causes SSO's and subsequent NOV's. The project includes the following: New 8" PVC gravity sewer (662 LF) and ductile iron pipe (40 LF) to replace approximately 702 LF of 6" clay gravity sewers. All proposed gravity sewer pipe will be SDR 35 PVC or ductile iron pipe. The project also includes the rehabilitation of approximately 16,705 LF of 8" gravity sewer by cured -in - place pipe (CIPP) and various manhole and pipe defect rehab/repairs. Since no new flow is being added, a FTSE form was not completed.
