Subject: Suspension of Work due to Erosion Compliance
Concerns

Mr. Knoll:

In accordance with Article 108-7 (A), in the 2018 NCDOT Standard Specifications for
Roads and Structures, all work on the construction of the project, except for erosion
control, is being suspended immediately (June 13, 2022). Work is being suspended due
to Erosion Compliance Concerns on the project.

All erosion concerns on the project including but not limited to those issues related to the
last rainfall event which occurred on June 8, 2022 must be satisfactorily completed and
verified by the Engineer prior to resuming any work on the project. As of today, June 13,
2022, no effort has been made to remove lost material from behind the silt fence or
material that has been displaced up against the silt fence in multiple areas.

Work will resume upon notification from the Department.
