Application for an Ownership Change
Dear Mr.Doug Dowden,
Covation Biomaterials, LLC (CovationBio) has entered into an agreement to purchase the Kinston Site
from DuPont Industrial Biosciences USA, LLC (DuPont) as part of a larger acquisition of DuPont's
biomaterials business.The acquisition closed on May 31,2022,and ownership of the site was transferred
to CovationBio.To ensure consistency in operations and continued compliance,the site leadership team
is transferring to CovationBio,and I will continue as the Plant Manager for the Kinston Site.CovationBio
intends to operate the site as it was operated by DuPont and consistent with National Pollutant Discharge
Elimination System (NPDES) Permit No.NC0003760.The transfer of permit responsibility,coverage,and
liability shall be effective June 1, 2022. Enclosed please find Permit Name/Ownership Change Form and
legal documentation of the transfer of ownership.
