Bladen County
Dear Permittee:
The North Carolina Division of Water Resources conducted an inspection of the Bladenboro Collection
System on 5/05/2022. This inspection was conducted to verify that the facility is operating in
compliance with the conditions and limitations specified in Collection System Permit No. WQCS00176.
The findings and comments noted during this inspection are provided in the enclosed copy of the
inspection report entitled "Compliance Inspection Report".
There were no significant issues or findings noted during the inspection and therefore, a response to this
inspection report is not required.
At the time of inspection, the audio alarm for pump station #1 was on back order. The intention is to fix
this as soon as the part becomes available to maintain compliance with permit requirements. Otherwise,
both pump stations had good housekeeping. The Spill Response Plan and other required documents were
all readily available. Inspections and maintenance records were kept orderly in logbooks. Grease education
is on the town's website. Two forms of outreach are necessary, so make sure to do one other form of
publication/outreach.

Inspection Summary:
There are two pump stations in the Bladenboro Collection System. At the time of inspection, the audio alarm for pump
station #1 was on back order. The intention is to fix this as soon as the part becomes available to maintain compliance with
permit requirements. Permanent backup generators are at each of the two pump stations. These are set to self -test every
Monday.
The FOG Ordinance requires grease traps to be cleaned every two months or can vary based on the establishment's usage.
Grease education is on the town's website. Two forms of outreach are necessary, so make sure to do one other form of
publication/outreach. The Spill Response Plan and other required documents were all readily available. Inspections and
maintenance records were kept orderly in log books.
