Our response below is in regard to the BOD and TSS daily maximum exceedance events that occurred on January 5, 2022, and the concurrent monthly average violations. Membrane filters at the plant lost their filtration capability due to debris accumulation, causing BOD and TSS levels to exceed the maximum allowed daily limit. The membrane filters were cleaned out immediately as a result of the discovery. Following the cleaning of the filters, BOD and TSS levels did not exceed for the remainder of the month. Monthly membrane filter cleanings have been performed since this incident. It is always our goal to remain in compliance with the regulations set forth by the Division of Water Resources. The factors contributing to this violation have been addressed accordingly in order to prevent future noncompliance events. It is our request that our cooperation and action _in these matters be taken into account by the Division when proceeding with enforcement, Since Tljokrje"s\H rtlein, CEO Ku Transf1r Products, LP CC: LaRue Cribb, Plant- and EHS Manager, KTP Lexington Todd Robinson, Envirolink, Inc.
