Aqua North Carolina, Inc. (Aqua) offers the following response to the above -referenced Notice of Violation
which was issued for the sanitary sewer overflow (SSO) that occurred April 7, 2022, Incident Number
202200574:
Aqua' s Response:
On April 7, 2022, the Governors Club collection system had a 4-inch sanitary sewer force main break.
The estimated loss amount was 800 gallons. It was discovered that the 4-inch sanitary sewer force main
suffered a line blockage from grinder material and will need replacement. Currently there is a temporary
above -ground bypass installed in parallel until replacement of the line is completed. The SSO was
contained in the street gutter with hay bales and remediated with the Aqua vac truck. The area was then
limed for disinfection.
