Inspection Summary:
There are 11 pump stations in the Hoke County Collection System. Four of these were visited during the inspection: #4, Hwy
401, Don Steed, and Sandy Grove. All had SCADA installed, and operational audio and visual alarms. Monthly tests are
done on the back-up generators, maintenance for generators is done via a service contract.
All required documents were available. The FOG Ordinance requires grease traps to be cleaned every 90 days. Grease
educational materials are posted on town bulletin boards and on the town's website. The current CIP runs out this year
(2022) and is in the process of being updated. There have not been any spills in the past three years. Inspections are
logged, making the records neat and organized. The Spill Response Plan was also available. It included all of the necessary
information, including a typical response time of 30-45 minutes following notification of a spill. Work orders are generated
and kept as record of maintenance and addressing any complaints/issues. A tractor is used to keep ROWs clear and
accessible. In 2021, 41,000 ft of lines had been cleared. At the time of inspection, the running tally for lines cleared for 2022
was 7,000 ft. There is a bypass at 2023 Rockfish Road, Beaver Creek.
