Re: Villages of Maiden Utilities Statement
Below are a few details about the current infrastructure plans for the development named "The
Villages" within the service district of the Town of Maiden:
1. Water — Current infrastructure has capacity to service the proposed subdivision referred as
the Villages. A plans have been approved for the installation of looped water system.
Infrastructure adjacent to the development will support the submitted plans. Per the submitted
plans, the Town of Maiden will accept ownership of the installed utilities upon completion and
final certification of all lines.
2. Sewer — Sewer is currently available adjacent to the proposed property. Wastewater
treatment plant does currently have capacity. Plant is permitted for 1 million gallons per day and
currently treats about 550,000 gallons. The proposed subdivision would add an estimated
additional flow of 70000 gallons per day, upon complete build out, which would still be under the
allowed normal flow. Per the submitted plans, the Town of Maiden will accept ownership of the
installed utilities upon completion and final certification of all lines.
3. Electric — Delivery point on GKN Way has capacity to serve the sub -division on an existing
circuit. Power would be extended for the subdivision from GKN Way. As proposed Duke energy
will supply power to the southern part of the development while the Town of Maiden has
capacity to supply power to the northern part.
