We in Chatham County objected, in part because it would be polluted by the discharges from Greensboro, Burlington and other upstream cities. The COE assured us that it would be cleaned up. We were right - -it is polluted by the upstream cities; and the COE assurance of a clean -up has not happened. Now, those upstream polluters have persuaded the state to allow them to continue to pollute and to try "solar- bees" to stir up the polluted water. Those towns have had 50 years to clean up. Instead, they have allowed, even approved growth with out requiring appropriate storm water runoff controls. Please do all that you can to require clean up, and do not approve the installation of machines to simply stir their pollution. Sincerely, Wade Barber P.O. Box 1755 Pittsboro, NC 27312
