I just got notified by Matt Walker, erosion control CEI for U-2519CA, that the project received 0.75”
of rainfall within a short period during the evening of May 6, 2022, resulting in 1.0 cubic yards of
sediment loss at Permit Site 1 at Sta. 585 Rt-L-. Matt will be sending photos in which I’ll forward to
you later today. I will be traveling to Asheville for training today but will ensure that you receive
those. The contractor is in process of removing the sediment and installing an additional BMP (rock
check dam) to help keep this from reoccurring. Let me know if you have any questions or need more
information. Thanks.
