Some of my reasons for this request are as follows: • The mixers do nothing to clean up the pollution from upstream. • There is very little evidence that these mixers will be successful, they have only been tested in small bodies of water, not large lakes like Jordan. They did not successfully restore water quality in a recent test in Cabarrus County, NC. • The mixers will create safety hazards to boaters and recreational users due to their low profile and lack of warning lights, etc. The Clean Water Act requires water pollutants to be controlled at their source. In order to truly clean the lake, the Jordan Lake rules need to be implemented immediately!
