North Carolina needs to move forward with the promised controls of runoff from new and existing development, and upgrades to upstream wastewater treatment plants, NOT by employing unproven floating mixers in the lake. The $1.65 million state earmark that funded the SolarBee project created a single - source, no -bid contract that funnels money to the company that makes the mixers. This means no competition and no serious evaluation of whether this technology will work on Jordan Lake. It's just another way for lawmakers to delay real pollution controls on this beautiful lake. I urge you to please oppose the use of SolarBees on Jordan Lake. Thank you Please, don't make matters worse than they already are. Our state can't loose this precious part of North Carolina. This lake belongs to all of us, and you are it's trustee. Jordan Lake provides us with so much pleasure, recreation, water to drink, a place to relax and enjoy. Please take good care of it. Please do what is best for everyone in this state. Please take good care of Jordan Lake. The lake is so important to all of us. Please take good care of the lake. In times like the present, it would be so refreshing to see someone do something positive for North Carolina. Especially after the arrogance and disgraceful handling of the coal ash release into the Dan river. Taking care of Jordan lake would make us proud. Thank you, Gretchen Sincerely, GrETCHEN KLEIN 3449 benny lineberry rd climax, NC 27233
