Mr. Bashaw,
I have paddled, fished and camped around Jordan Lake since its inundation. Before then, and to this day I paddle the
Haw River. I am completely convinced the best course of action to keep this regional water resource healthy is to deny
permits to the politically motivated and ill- conceived test of the Solar Bee devices and institute the Jordan Lake rules now.
The rules were developed with the collaboration of multiple stakeholders with the best interests of the lake and its primary
users in mind. The Solar Bee devices could pose a safety threat, are ill- suited for a body of water this size, and will not
address the long term pollution issues at all.
Please deny the permits.
